What is Vedic meditation?

Vedic Meditation is a simple, effortless technique that comes from the 5000-year-old body of wisdom know as the Veda. It has been practiced for thousands of years and its integrity has been maintained through an unbroken oral lineage, from teacher to student, since that time. However its application is universal, and you do not need to change your lifestyle, diet, faith or clothes in order to practice it. All you need is 20 minutes.

In Vedic Mediation, a personal mantra or sound takes the mind to more sublte and quiet states just by the quality of its sound. You need do nothing but think it gently. Once the mind settles down, the body also settles down and experiences deep levels of rest. This allows stress to unwind and the body to heal.

Vedic Meditation is easy to practice. There is no concentrating, focusing or trying to stop thoughts. It is designed for everyday people who need a technique to recharge, relax, get ridd of stress and enjoy life to the fullest.

Course format

Vedic Meditation is easy to learn when correctly and personally instructed. The Course also gives an intellectual understanding of your experiences that leaves you self sufficient at its completion. Vedic Meditation does not take months or years of dedication and practice to experience the results and needs only a relatively small investment in time daily.

The course consists of four 90 minute sessions taught over four consecutive days. It is structured so that students can integrate meditation into their daily life and practice while they are learning. This way, the practice can be refined gradually, addressing questions as they arise in real time. Think of me like your meditation personal trainer for the week. By the end of the course you will be self-sufficient, with a meditation practice you can do anywhere, anytime, for the rest of your life.

  • You will receive your personalised mantra after whitnessing a short gratitude ceremony. You will be be taught how to effortlessly drop beyond thought.

  • You will learn how the mantra works, how to meditate effortlessly and how to practice Vedic Meditation in a way that fits your lifestyle.

  • You will learn about the physiology of stress and how daily meditation helps remove stored stress from the body. You will understand the role of thoughts in meditation, what to do when you have thoughts and why thoughts are not the enemy.

  • You will learn about the long-term benefits of daily meditation, how the brain changes, and how regular practice will stabilise the state experienced during meditation into everyday life.

Course Fee

There is no fixed course fee. In the Vedic Meditation tradition it is considered important that the value of the course be the same for all students. As the only commodity truly equal for everyone is time, the original way to pay for the teaching was to offer a week of one’s time to the teacher and work for him or her.  This system is not so well applicable nowadays.

Therefore, everybody works out his or her course fee by themselves. The recommended way is to calculate one week’s income. The minimum course fee required is 350 € or CZK 8,000. If finances are the only obstacle to you learning, please contact me so that we can find a way to make it work.
